Mewla 0.2.8#

Generate images and video from Brain with two new plugins, and see Chat for every Session again.

New#

  • fal plugin: Brain can search fal's image, video and audio models, such as Seedance. Paste a fal key under Extensions → fal. Generating costs money, so it stays off until you turn on "Make changes when asked".
  • Image generation plugin: point it at any OpenAI-compatible images endpoint with an API key, and Brain can create and edit images.
  • Generated files are saved under ~/.mewla/media/.

Fixed#

  • Chat was empty for Sessions whose folder name contains a space, while the Terminal showed them.
  • Notes saved next to Work files no longer show up as broken Work.

Get it#

  • Already installed? Run mewla update on your computer, and install the new APK on Android.
  • New here? curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/daoleno/mewla/main/install.sh | sh picks the right file for you. See Install.
  • Mac (Apple Silicon): mewla-darwin-arm64.tar.gz. Needs tmux (brew install tmux).
  • Linux x64: mewla-linux-amd64.tar.gz
  • Linux ARM: mewla-linux-arm64.tar.gz
  • Android: mewla-android-arm64-v0.2.8.apk. Android asks you to allow installs from unknown sources.

Verify downloads

mewla update and the installer check downloads for you. To check one by hand against SHA256SUMS:
